I'm still forging ahead in my struggle to fully embrace hip hop music. There are plenty of albums that have hip hop tracks or hip hop influences that I like and love, but in the grand scheme of things, the process has been a slow one. My enjoyment of Dizzee Rascal led me to check out the Run the Road compilation, a sampling of songs by British grime artists. I have to say, I like it more than any other hip hop I've tried to get a handle on. I think it's the combination of the beats and the British accents. The best tracks on it, in my opinion, are those with female MCs- Lady Sovereign (who is a somewhat shocking 17 years old), No Lay and Shystie.
