An interesting follow-up to the RIAA's declaration that CD burning is actually worse than downloading- here's the Powerpoint presentation delivered by RIAA CEO Mitch Bainwol on August 12, during a meeting of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers.

Let's see, if I were thinking of ways to better the world, cd burning vs file downloads would not be included. Without file downloads and a few cds along the way I wouldn't know half the bands that I do, and would not have bought half of the cds I own, and I would not have been to half the shows I've been to.
