So it looks like zipping mp3 files doesn't do a whole lot in this case because mp3's are already very highly compressed files in the first place (thank you Chuck Campbell at WinZip's tech support). So since I don't want to sacrifice sound quality and am too lazy to break up the files into smaller pieces, you'll just have to suck up the hour-long download unless some other means comes my way.
