I think the generations currently in their 20s-30s are naturally cynical, so I would venture to say no. The Daily Show does a great job of reinforcing and nuturing cynicism though.
There's no question that Stewart and Colbert have done for cynicism what David Spade did for sarcasm in the 1990s. The it's the new casual humor.
