Lawndale Fashion Club

I wrote an essay for Tinymixtapes about what a huge loser I used to be and how terrible my musical tastes were. Read it here.

Ok, I'm still a big loser, but I'm pretty sure my musical tastes have improved since then.

I almost didn't get past the Dave Matthews part.

However, I think you have lots of company since we all had to start somewhere.

Yeah, we all had to start somewhere. The ones I'd like to forget were Andy Gibb and Fleetwood Mac (there were others too!).

Then my friends' older brothers turned me on to the Clash, the Jam, Sex Pistols, Joy Division and New Order. Fuck XRT, it was WNUR and WLUW back in the early 80's. I never looked back. Nice article!
